This terraced, two-person house is in a great location for the University of York and York city centre. You can walk to the city centre in about ten minutes, and it takes about twenty to reach the university. The house is near many major supermarkets, and it is situated in a quiet, residential environment. I'm a second-year PhD student at the University of York. I really relaxed and easy to get along with and I like to keep the house clean and tidy. I'm not noisy and don't host any crazy parties. It's just a nice house in a great location. Location: - YO31 0XP, Hawthorn Street (off Layerthorpe Road) - near Heworth, Black Swan pub - 10 minutes (walk) from city centre - 20 minutes (walk) from University of York - 5 minutes (walk) from ASDA and Morrisons Features: - Letting Agency: 'Arena Letting' - Total of two occupants (myself included). - Terraced house, partially furnished (everything included, except bed and desk). Please read below for more detail regarding this. - Central heating and double-paned windows (no mould problems). - Two bedrooms (considered to be small double rooms or sizeable singles). - Nice living room. - One bathroom with toilet, shower, bath and sink. - Large kitchen (largest room in the house) with gas hob, oven, fridge, freezer, microwave and all other expected amenities (including plates, glasses and utensils). - Washing machine and tumble dryer. - Shed in back for storing bicycles (location of tumble dryer). - Loft space for extra storage and a table for studying (with view of the minster). Cost: - Rent (each): £297.50 (total: £595). - Electricity/Gas (each): Approximately £37/month (total: approx. £75/month). - Phone/Internet (each): Approximately £17/month (total: approx. £32/month). - Water (each): Approximately £12/month (total: approx. £23/month). - There is currently no council tax as both occupants are students. If you are a student, we'll still owe no council tax. We do not pay for a TV licence, as we get most of our news and entertainment from the internet or DVDs. If this is something you want, please consider that in the total I've listed below. - TOTAL (each): Approximately £362.00/month (varies depending on month/season). Details: - Deposit and one month's rent upfront (around £600). Details to be worked out with Arena Letting if you decide you want to move in. My current housemate, you and I would go in together and get everything transferred over.
